As we wrap up the first two months of the school year, I want to take a moment to reflect on the wonderful energy and engagement across our district. From the very first day of school, it has been inspiring to see our classrooms filled with curiosity, collaboration, and joy. Our students have quickly settled into routines, embraced new challenges, and demonstrated the kindness and respect that define the Demarest Public Schools. 

I am especially thankful to our staff and students for welcoming me into their classrooms with such enthusiasm. Across all schools, our teachers and staff have created dynamic learning environments that nurture both academic growth and social-emotional development. Whether it’s through hands-on projects in the classroom or team spirit on the athletic fields/courts, our students are thriving through a wide array of meaningful experiences. 

I am equally grateful to our families for your continued partnership. It has been such a pleasure meeting so many of you at our school events this fall! From the annual PTO Blast—where I was greeted with such warmth as families enjoyed food, ice cream trucks, and games—to the exciting ribbon cutting of our Middle School Gymnasium, each moment has reminded me of the incredible spirit of this community. 

As we look ahead to the next few months, we remain committed to continuous growth, open communication, and celebrating all the moments—big and small—that make Demarest such an exceptional district. Thank you for your ongoing support and for helping us make the start of this school year so successful. Together, we are fostering a culture of care and excellence that helps every child reach their fullest potential.
